I just bought this watch from Amazon. I was hesitant to buy from Amazon at first because they are not a an authorized Tag dealer. But I thought, its a Tag. There will be no need for a warranty repair. Amazon has their own warranty and I have have been an Amazon customer for many years, so I trust them. The watch was $1420 less than retail, plus there was no sales tax. The watch is perfect. I love it. It works perfectly. This was a great deal. I now have four Tag watches . They will last forever. This one has a sapphire crystal on the face and on the back. The sapphire crystal on the back allows you to see the inner workings. Very neat. The watch was very easy to start up. I had to set it and wind it. I needed to have one link removed which was done at a local store for $8.00. This was a great buy.

I like the look of this Tag more than the others I have. This model is sporty yet able to be work at the office or at client locations without appearing "flashy" like some in my collection including Breitling and Rolex thus far (I'm hoping for a Philip Patek one day). The only regret I have is purchasing the watch on a cruise ship for almost $1,000 more than what I am seeing this watch listed on Amazon. True buying a watch from an authorized dealer (which Amazon is not) of Tag is a nice thing - you still have a great warranty from Amazon. The issue may arise however down the road when the watch is sold - that person is going to want to see all of the documentation for this watch including the authorized dealer materials.
Coming from a long history of Movado watches, I had a $3,000 Fiero Tungsten Carbide (Movado) that was giving my wrist a horrible rash. Despite how much I loved the watch, I knew I either needed to find a new watch to take it's place or walk around with an embarrassing rash on my arm... I chose to give up my precious Movado that I absolutely loved. Find a new watch was to take it's place (I loved that thing) was not an easy task and I didn't want to give up the stylish or sporty feel of the watch, but wanted something super high quality that I could wear either casual or dressy depending on the occasion. I also wanted something extremely well built and something I could possible pass down as a future heirloom perhaps.
After looking at dozens and dozens of watches and reading review after review, I stumbled upon the Tag Carrera Calibre and couldn't stop looking at it. Every time I went away from it to look at other watches, I ended up coming back and staring at it... after doing this about 5 times and watching some youtube videos of the watch, I knew I had to have it and that it would make a perfect replacement for my beloved Movado.
When I first got the watch, I was so impressed with the packaging and how gorgeous it looked in it's box... it's a much larger watch than I am used to and has a huge face that fits really nicely on my above average sized wrists... the features are awesome, the chronograph looks amazing and is very useful if you need a stopwatch, etc and you can tell this is an extremely well built time piece, hence it's $3K price. I also love that is has the day and date a feature I'm not used to and is super helpful without having to look at my iphone to find out. I've had it now for about a month and it keeps absolute flawless time (I compare to my iphone which is synced perfectly) and it's never even a second off. I wear it all the time since it's automatic movement and you need to wear it to keep it going, only taking it off to mow the lawn, shower or anything else that could get it dirty or damage it.
I'm so glad to have purchased this amazing time piece and even though it was very hard to give up the movado that I loved so much, I can't help but think I ended up getting a much higher quality watch out of the deal. This is a watch I will take very good care of and enjoy for years to come. I hope to pass it down to my son one day. This is my first Tag Heuer watch and am extremely impressed. Also, the days of having to change batteries every year or two on my watch are over - I've also gotten used to the extremely large face and love how masculine it looks, yet still maintains it's sophistication I like in a watch. This is a beautiful watch and I love it every day I wear it. I've had it over a year now with no issues. Perfect blend of sportiness and elegance.
I choose this product because I got already a TAG Heueur LINK watch and was happy with.
I always wanted to have a Carrera this one is better than what I expected.

The watch is wounderful and It was a great addition to my collection. But be aware: this is a "big and heavy" watch that may not be the right size for everyone. The price was also excellent, much lower than every place else that I searched. One more tip: this watch is automatic and if you do not use is everyday (my case) it is recommended that you use a watch winder (in this case the watch will only charge if the winder is set clockwise). Great buy!
I'm by no means a watch expert but I did think long and hard about the prospect of buying an Omega vs TAG vs anything else. When all was done, I opted for the sportiness yet elegance of this TAG he decision came down to Grand Carrera or Carrera Day Date. I chose the Day Date and made a great choice. I get compliments on it all of the time. The size of the monstrosity took a little getting used to especially the height of the watch at 16.5mm. My business partner went with the Omega Planet Ocean -- Although also a great watch. I simply like the aesthetics of this watch. One last thing - it's the one of the only TAGs, if not the only TAG that actually has both the DAY and DATE displayed. Amazing detail.
