Great Product Baume Mercier Classima Automatic Strap
I bought this item from Amazon about 1.5 years ago and did quite a bit of research before I ordered it. The movement is a modified ETA 2893-2. ETA movements come in 4 grades: Standard, Elabore, Top, and Chronometer. If the manufacturer doesn't pay for the chronometer certification of the individual movement (which has to be done by a 3rd party and significantly increases the cost of the watch), the best rating they can claim for the movement is Top. I called Baume et Mercier and talked to one of the watchmakers. The movement is a "Top" grade that they further modify to increase the accuracy. It keeps incredible time for the cost. Mine runs about +1/day, which is within chronometer specs. Most chronometer grade watches cost thousands of dollars more than this one.
When I received it, I validated the serial number's authenticity with the manufacturer. They told me it was sold to a vendor somewhere in Europe. Obviously the watch ended up on the "gray" market which is where Amazon gets their high-end watches. This can be a sketchy proposition unless you trust the seller. And after having it for a year, I have no doubts regarding its authenticity and would buy another high-end watch from Amazon.
My only complaint would be the difference in the reds of the numerals from the picture. Other reviewers have mentioned this. However, really not a big deal to me now since this watch is so incredible.

I already came up with a nice watch but it seems like I have everything already. I have an xbox, wii, iphone, mac laptop, gaming chair, nice clothes. What can I ask for and what are some really cool watches? Like in the price range of 500 to 1000 dollars.
